Is there a cost to use your service?

Our services, including any consultations and attorney recommendations are provided free of charge.  Where permitted by law, we may receive a part of the fees earned on the matter from the attorney or law firm that represents you. It is standard for lawyers to share fees where a client referral is made. This enables us to continue to provide our services free of charge to the public and does not cost the client anything.

How much does it cost to hire a medical malpractice attorney?

Generally, hiring a medical malpractice lawyer should not cost you anything upfront. Medical malpractice attorneys generally handle cases on a contingency fee basis. This means that if you lose your case, you will not owe anything. However, if you win, your attorney will be entitled to deduct from the amount won on your behalf, any costs the lawyer spent to handle your case plus a contingency fee (which typically ranges between 30% to 40% of the total amount won for you). All of these fees are agreed upon with the client before an attorney takes on a case. A contingency fee agreement is the fairest and best way for you to pursue your claim because your attorney will take on all the risk.

Do I have to use the attorney or law firm you recommend?

No, we want everyone to be satisfied with their legal representation. You do not have to hire the attorney we recommend or remain with that attorney if you are not satisfied. If you are not happy with your attorney or have any issues, please let us know and we will find you an attorney or law firm that better meets your needs.

How long will it take before my case settles or goes to court?

The time it will take for each case to settle or go to trial varies greatly based on the opposing party, the insurance company involved, the type, extent and severity of your injuries, the egregiousness of the harm suffered and the laws and court rules in each jurisdiction. Some cases may settle in a matter of months while others may be litigated for several years and cost the attorney or law firm handling the case tens of thousands of dollars.

Why should I use your referral service?

We are dedicated to helping injured victims find high quality legal representation. Not all attorneys provide the same quality of representation and the unfortunate truth is that there can be a huge difference in outcome and the compensation achieved based on the attorney selected. Our attorneys can provide free consultations to help you navigate the complexities associated with selecting an attorney. We only refer clients to reputable attorneys who have a track record aggressive advocacy, responsiveness to the needs of clients and who have an industry reputation for consistently achieving the highest verdicts and settlements for their clients.
